OVERVIEWThe General G-MAX AS-05 is a high performance all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. General offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model. The model offers excellent all weather traction with the Stabili Grip technology. The all season tire compound and the tread design enhance the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability. The compound keeps its flexible traction even in colder temperatures, while the tread design firmly grips the road surface in all weather. The treads wide circumferential and smaller lateral grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tires footprint. The enhanced all weather traction and hydroplaning resistance upgrade the year round performance. The special Stabili Tread technology widens the tires footprint to increase its road contact. This allows the tire to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the entire tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking lengthens the tread life and the tires usability by preventing irregular tread wear formations. The wider footprint also improves the models controllability. It upgrades the steering responsiveness and the driving stability to ensure a more powerful performance and control. The steering is faster and more responsive, while the structure is stabilized against the driving pressure. The better control allows the driver to confidently drive the vehicle even at high speeds. The tread design features the Replacement Tire Monitor that offers a visual representation of the tread life. The words Replacement Tire Monitor are present three times on the treads center rib. They wear out along with the tread and notify the driver when the tire needs to be replaced, when the tread is about to wear out. When the words change to Replace Tire the tread is low. In this case, the tire needs to be replaced to ensure a safe driving experience. The G-MAX AS-05s tread design has Visual Alignment Indicators, or VAI for short. These indicators are located on the tires shoulders, parallel to each other. They also wear out with the tread like the Replacement Tire Monitor does. They visually represent the tread wear rate and manner of the tires and the vehicles alignment. If the two parallel VAIs are identical in their wear, the vehicles alignment is correct. However, if there is a difference between th
